Sūrah al-Ḥujurāt is a Madinan sūrah. Despite its brevity, it is a profound and weighty chapter, containing timeless principles of moral cultivation and the foundations of a virtuous civil society. For this reason, some scholars referred to it as “the Sūrah of Ethics”.
